Ah, time! It does pass quickly!
If we took a family photo today, October 2020, it would contain 3 new people: 2 added by birth and 1 added by marriage, all girls who are very much beloved. In 2017 God blessed us with another granddaughter, in 2018 He blessed our son with a wife and us with a new daughter, and in 2020 He blessed us with another granddaughter!
The pets have changed also. Our beloved Pepper suffered a stroke in her 13th year and I held her in my arms as the vet brought her suffering to an end. We miss her but we're thankful for the years we had together. After almost 3 months of mourning we found ourselves at a rescue in a neighboring state. After just 30 minutes of introductions we brought home a bonded pair of adult doggies to fill the void in our hearts. Meet Cassie and Molly! They have been with us for over a year now and have filled our lives with exercise, hilarity, and the typical frustrations of pet ownership. All-in-all it has been a match made in heaven.

We also managed to be adopted by a cat named Daphne whose sole purpose in life is to eat and her rotund physique proves it. (Think Garfield.)
