Memory Monday: Hide The Word in Your Heart!

Here's a great one nestled within the pages of the Old Testament:
  • Deuteronomy 3:24
"O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?"

(It's sad that this one is part of Moses' request to be allowed to go over the Jordan with the Children of Israel, but it is a beautiful verse for any believer to memorize.)

Here's a wonderful passage that every parent should both commit to memory and to action:
  • Deuteronomy 6:4-9
If ever there was a passage that proclaims that we should be teaching our children Biblical precepts and that scripture should be part of our conversation and even evident in our decor it is this one!

And here are a few familiar verses from the scheduled readings in the New Testament this week:
  • Acts 16:31
  • Galatians 5:1
  • Galatians 5:22-23
  • Galatians 6:1-5
  • Galatians 6:7
  • Galatians 6:9
  • Galatians 6:14

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
