Isaiah chapter 46

Does God issue any commands?

  • God commanded the house of Jacob to listen.
  • God commanded the men of Israel to show themselves men and put away idols made from their gold and silver.


Does God make any promises?

  • The idols of Babylon will be proven to be false.
  • God promised to care for the remnant of the house of Jacob even into their old age. He would carry them.


Does this chapter teach anything about Jesus?

  • Through Jesus is the righteousness of God be placed in Zion for God's glory.


Does this chapter teach anything about yet-future events?

  • Someday all who experience salvation will witness the righteousness of God in Zion. We will see God's glory when Jesus reigns there.
