In other words, it was time to pack up and move on to the Promised Land. After the closing ceremonies around Mount Sinai, God took up His position once again in the cloud. They should have been marching forward obediently as a mighty army behind their Commander, but it was not long before there was dissension within the ranks. They forgot all that God had wanted them to learn, including how to be good followers. The final test came with the sending of the spies into Canaan. As the saying goes, "So close and yet so far."

Prayer Journal (ACTS)
- Adoration - This week take time each day to praise God for His glory.
- Confession - The Israelites did not trust God to deliver what He had promised. We all doubt God at times. Confess this.
- Thanksgiving - Thank God that He is truthful. He never lies!
- Supplication - What are your prayer requests this week? List them for future reference so that you can see how God answers.
Search the Scriptures
Look for references for each of the following:
- Promises that God made and to whom He made them. Do they apply to you?
- References that either refer to or infer something about future events.
- What does this passage teach about Jesus?
- Commandments that God made and to whom He made them. Do they apply to you?
Putting the Word into Action
In the passages we are reading it is traveling time for the Israelites and they have concerns about food, water, and God's provisions along the way. It is also traveling time here in the USA. While you are making plans for your journey make sure you pack gospel tracts to give to anyone who serves you in a restaurant, gas station, or hotel. And make sure you put a generous tip inside. God's people are greatly blessed and should bless others whenever they tell anyone about their great God! Remember that what you do reflects upon Him. Leaving a tract without a generous tip not only makes you look stingy but it makes your gracious God look bad, too.

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
