This past week we read the Law given by God to Moses. We also read about Jesus who said that He came not to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. We also began reading the book of Leviticus. This book reminds me of a job manual, which it is, in this case for the priests offering the sacrifices. And since we also finished reading the last few chapters of Matthew we were able to see the Supreme Sacrifice of God's own Son that those Old Testament sacrifices pictured.
Can you see how the sacrifices in Leviticus 1, 2, and 3 pictured the Messiah?
- Male without spot or blemish? Check
- Offering of flour mixed with oil but without leaven? Check; the Lord's Supper still uses elements made from these ingredients to represent Christ's body that was given for us.
- Offering of first fruits? Check.
- Need a peace offering acceptable to God? Check.
I pray you have a blessed week in the Word!

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
