Some find it boring to read the genealogies found in scripture. I am not one of them; however, I do admit that they can be confusing. I compiled a standard genealogy generation chart for these verses to make the reading more understandable.
The only question that is answered in this passage is the one concerning any teachings about Jesus. Yes, this passage teaches about Jesus Christ! His ancestry is highlighted below in red. These verses only cover the generations from Adam through Israel.
